Hi Wings088,
The answer is already clear. It has already been answered. Nothing more can be said. Unless, of course, you want a theoretical explanation of the answer. Then I would have to say more.
Hand hitting the floor is hand hitting the floor. Even saying hand hitting the floor is already a mistake.
Zen has never deviated from this, why make deviations?

Hi Emanrohe... I am just recently inspired by an article of the dunno mind.. and became interested in Zen aspect of Buddhism... I have been wanting to visit KYCL but have yet to really act on it... I understand they have meditation classes on Tue, Thu and Sat? I can just drop by is it? Thanks for the sharing!
Great ...more and more ppl interested in Chan :)
Excellent
Hi Flyingfishy,
Yes you may just drop in on the meditation practices on Tue, Thu and Sat. However they are not meditation classes per say, as in no instruction is given so you just go there and meditate with the group and leave. It is more of a session for group meditation practice.
If you would like to learn more about Zen, I would recommend that you join their Zen Beginner Meditation Course. I am not sure when the next course starts. However the course would serve as a good introduction to the Zen practice of the school. After the introductory course, I would recommend that you join one of those 7 day retreats led by a Zen Master or Sunim. This is because during the retreats, talks and interviews with the Zen Master is given everyday so it is really an intensive Zen training experience. I can say my life really changed a lot after the retreat experiences. My whole outlook of life would changed and I became a much happier person after each retreat, with much less attachment, yet more love. If you seriously practice during the retreats, I am sure your experience would no doubt be as beneficial, if not more beneficial than mine :)
Hands palm to palm,
Emanrohe
Thank you for the information, Emanrohe. I am sure it is beneficial... just a glimpse in the Dunno mind already bring peace for me... still, it is so difficult to practice... so difficult not to be affected by the senses and the "know-all mind" ;p
I know KYCL has fix dates for a 1 day meditation retreat, could this be the beginners' class? Because I cannot find anymore info about Zen meditation on their website.
But anyway, I will find time to drop by or give them a call. Current I have not taken refuge and not going to temple too... would like to find a suitable place where I can put more time in Buddhism... and also get to know more people whom we can practice together...
Thanks again!
Marc... Emanrohe has given KYCL website address in the earlier post.. you can check it out...
Hi marcteng,
Yes the temple is KYCL, short for Kwan Yin Chan Lin. More details can be found at an above post.
Hi Flyingfishy,
The 1 day meditation retreat is not the Zen beginners' class. The Zen Beginers' class is course which lasts over 6 saturday nights. Yup, maybe you can call them to ask when the next course is starting :)
