This is not going to be some experience talk on Dzogchen
It is just a background discussion on the definition and open source to Dzogchen
There is a chinese Buddhism Forum which suggest the use of Dzogchen is not appropriate as Dzogchen is a different meaning and does not mean Great Perfection
Dzogchen isn't Chinese.. its Tibetan with Indian origin. why would they say that?
Yes, it's origins are from India.
There are Chinese Dzogchen teachers, but Dzogchen is basically taught only in the Tibetan Buddhism tradition and not Chinese Mahayana. This is what it meant.
Sorry, misread your post. Good question.
I think there are Dzogchen teachers in China. I have found Dzogchen articles and books in Chinese before.
But I wonder what they concluded in the forum.

SubhÅ«ti knew the thought conceived in ÅšÄriputra’s mind, and he spoke to ÅšÄriputra, saying: “Whatever the Buddha’s disciples may venture to teach, all is [through] the Buddha’s power. For what reason? That dharma taught by the Buddha, they have trained in it, they are able to realize the nature of dharma. Having realized [it] they proclaim and teach [it], and none of it is contrary to the nature of dharma, by way of the power of the nature of dharma.”
a good read to those to understand what dzogchen could be like ...
