What do you mean by recognise other persons?
He is self-awoken, so, he did not need to, and will not recognise other teachers.
However he has many students who was awakened under him.
He also stated that he is not the first nor the last Buddha in the world, though at the time of his awakening, there was no other human teachers in that place and time that was his equivalent.
