Hi, is it oks if a female who is having her menses go to a columbarium to show her respects to a deceased? Coz I heard people saying that females who are having menses are impure and cannot attend religious rites n stuff?did the taoism/buddhism religion say that?
I would argue that Buddhism is not a religion but a path to self liberation, a way of life. Rules were designed to help in one's journey on that path (non-attachment) and not as something to be enforced. In fact for someone that has reached pure awareness, acts that are generally regarded as bad have no significance and do not generate any karma.

Dear fren,
there is no Scriptures which say females cannot attend columbarium when she having menses ..the old superstition probably comes from woman tend to faint when inside the hot environment
thats where the story comes abt
Females having menses impure? Men having seminal flow dirty?
These are human judgments, not divine decrees.
Are there any one who is without shit in them?
which is worse, impure mind or menses?
Yup yup. It's perfectly fine. However, if your relatives or others mind then try to explain to them. But do not try too hard. Harmony is important.

This is a very old belief. What's our thought, speech and action would make you impure. Menses doesn't. It is a natural human process in life.
It's just blatant superstition
