as mentioned earlier, mediation may help or may not help. the best is to chant the more powerful sutras or parittas like Metta or Ratana Sutra.

A friend chant sutra to help the spirit that follows her but after that the spirit got more aggressive and attacked her.

thats why its better to ask monks, as they are well versed in chanting and the dhamma. usually the devas will descend and the spirit will depart once it see devas coming. devas in buddhism are like us, just that they are from a higher realm of existence than human realm. but they dun live there forever, depending on their karmic conditions exhausting.

Do you mind to recommend monks that are reliable and do not ask for big amount of amount for help? I have no info on this to pass on.

why you ask for monks contact? go to the major buddhist temple and ask, but you need to tell them the details. if you wish to donate to them for their efforts, you may donate any amount after the event. you may even invite them for lunch instead of giving them money.

beware some are not real monks outside. Thai Buddhism is from the Theravada tradition.

All temples are protected by the Dharma Protectors, eg. Four Heavenly Kings. The entity should'nt follow her into the temple!
You can get you friend to chant Atanatiya Sutra to get protection of the Four Heavenly Kings and their retinue. Or the Great Compassion Mantra"Ta Bei Zhoe", "Gate, Gate, Paragate ,Mantra of Heart Sutra" Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha "

she was given a small book on sutra and when she called temple on phone for help, the lady told her to chant sutra from the small book.

oh my goodness. she is not well versed and has no idea what she is chanting, not to mention the correct way of chanting. no wonder the spirit is angry, as it may think she is scolding it some vulgar language lol.

went for consultation in temple and confirmed the spirit following her. that temple can help but asking for more than $1000 to help her.

my friend no go church. I was a church goer, I can say that god can only cast out demons, spirits from the bodies and not deal with spirit folllowing the human beings

maybe the spirit wants your friend to help fulfil his/her wishes. is it male or female spirit? does it revealed his/her form to your friend already? what does the spirit wants from your friend?
probably due to afinity and karma playing a part.
