That person needs to find a good and wise master who can solve this.
Probably need to dedicate merits to the spirit and explain to the spirit to let go of the past and take a virtuous rebirth.

during consultation, she more or less confirmed seen the ghost. What is puzzling is the ghost she saw was in modern day clothing but the spirit claim that more than 300 yrs ago he was her hushand. So strange -

She has been going to many for help but not successful. I also don't know what to do to help

IIf the medium does not work, try the following method :
Advise your friend to chant Amitabha on a daily basis. She will gain 佛光gradually. She can chant Amitabha or Kuan Shi Yin Pusa for help when she feels the presence of the spirit. Ask your friend to tell the spirit that she will 超度 him and ask him not to follow her.
By the way, besides following her, did the spirit disturb her ?
She can go to Ju Shi Ling to 超度, just tell them in details. The spirit is called 怨亲债主. Many Buddhists used to超度怨亲债主 (your debtors) during the 7th month regardless of whether the spirits disturb us or not. During the 7th month, at Ju Shi Ling, they received any amount for超度.

We need to understand that all spirits have the right to exist in this world. Earth does not only belong to humans. However, ghosts or lost spirits are stuck in our dimension, often because of trauma during death or unfinished business with certain people still alive. Yes, it'll be very helpful if we can help them move on into the Light, if they're lost. If they have unfinished business, they'll often need to complete them before they can feel free to move on.
Kuan Yin is a very appropriate Master to work with to help the spirits move on. There are various ways to do this, of which I shall not comment here, due to sensitivities. But my advice is: if you truly have a good heart to help them move on, speak quietly in your heart to Kuan Yin, and request her help to guide the lost spirits move on.

according to her, like whole day and nite with her.

Have you called any temples or Ju Shi Lin yet? if not can call guang ming shan or mangala vihara or sri lankaramaya temple to enquire.
usually the monks will mediate for you and also transfer merits to the deceased and also do some chanting as well. donating money to print buddhist (dhamma) books is very meritorous. advise your friend to donate printing dhamma books and also to the temple also can, then transfer the merits accrued to the spirit. I think should not be a problem and let the venerable handle the case and advise her.

if not ask your friend to contact AEN, see if his dhamma centre can be of help. I am sure his dhamma centre will be in a position to help your friend on this.

Anyway, that was I was still a christian. To christianity they believe it is the work of Satan. One of the spirits real fierce, wanting to get into my body. At that time, i was a christian there was holy spirit in me so when i pray pray, it went away like a gust of eerie wind (like those wind as seen on haunted movies). Very scary. -

Pages 70-94 from which forum?I actually tried not to watch and read too much because how I started with all these was I watched haunted show on TV alone at home.
