There's a difference.
Parents tend to "force" their beliefs onto their children like a Christian parent would want his/her children to follow his/her faith and likewise.

This is a hearsay story from my friend. This is the story of her friend.
Her family has been a Christian family for 3 generations. One day, when they passed by a Buddhist temple where the Buddhists' were chanting, her son ( about 6 years old) asked her to bring him into the temple. She refused but her son insisted.
Since then, her son always requested her mum to bring him to Buddhist temple, her mum brought him since she thought there is no harm in doing so and she also believed it could be due to his past life or else no one in her family is Buddhist and how come his son is so attached to Buddhism.
One can make a vow in this life, if one is not reborn in Pureland, let one be reborn in a Buddhist family.

Yes, and that we are all inherently false, nothing but an aggregate of chemicals which does not remain the same, or visually appear the same!

He actually rejected all religions, probably believing if one religion is false to him, all religion is false to him.
Incidentally, there are many people who put blind faith in capitalism, and worship the Almighty Dollar, that in itself, constitutes a religion!

All religions and all whatever spirits/ghosts does not exists.
He told me he is waiting for a ghost to appear in from of him.
He want to see what is ghost look like.
He can even stand outside and F#$# churches/temples.

However, I investigated Buddhism for more than twenty years before deciding take the Three Refuges. Buddhism do not advocate blind faith.

I believe in open mind. Not just like an atheist and anti-religion but encompass what life is all about.
There are things science or religion can explain and there are things only yourself can explain.
