I can't think of any meditation centre at Jurong West. The nearest I can think of is Singapore Buddhist Youth Mission Temple at Clementi. They have meditation classes on every Friday from 8 pm to 10 pm. The contact number is 67755557, you may call them to confirm.
The only centre i know in Jurong area is......
Mahamuni Buddhist Society
Address: No. 264, Westwood Ave (off Jurong West Ave 5)
Singapore 648464
Phone: 65-6777-7018, 65-6790-9279
Tradition: Theravada.
Suggest you call them up to inquire if there is meditation class in english and for directions?

I would recommend you scan through the following site and make a list of which ones you want to check out. But do note that not all centres teach meditation.
which centre teaches vipassana meditation, anyone knows?

My friend recommends VIPASSANA MEDITATION CENTRE (SINGAPORE) for vipassana.
Basically you can check out in http://www.4ui.com/activity/activity.htm the following:
KMSPKS:
| Basic Vipassana (Insight) Meditation Class | Every Fri 5/3-14/5 7.30-9.30pm |
VIPASSANA MEDITATION CENTRE (SINGAPORE)
WAT ANANDA YOUTH (“WAY”, FORMERLY KNOWN AS ANANDA METYARAMA BUDDHIST YOUTH CIRCLE)
By the way if you into hardcore Vipassana I also highly recommend that you read Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha, An Unusually Hardcore Dharma Book available at http://www.interactivebuddha.com/mctb.shtml
Dear all, thanks alot for all the advices =)
I think there is an Goenka styled Vipassana 10 days retreat in St John's island or M'sia organised for Singaporeans every year. If you want, you could try once then go on from there. I'm not sure where to register. But you can search 'Goenka' & 'Singapore' on goggle
The tradition is U Ba Khin from Burma. I think there has been much hype and good results from it. Apparently, Dalai Lama also sent some monks to try it out with good results. I think after attending once, then maybe you have a taste of meditation and it will encourage you to persist.

Yes I received positive reviews about the Goenka center from my friend who been to those retreats.
the Goenka center information can be found here http://www.sg.dhamma.org/. the retreat was last week.
vipassana meditation center information is here http://vmc128.8m.com/page14.html. they also conducted a retreat last week and they are teaching from Mahasi Sayadaw lineage. im signing up for their upcoming meditation course
Oh got mixed up. Thanks for the info geis.
Now I know I have one friend who went for Goenka, one friend who went for Mahasi Sayadaw.
i think it is good if before you go for meditation class to read some books to have a bit of background knowledge as well as to polish off your expectations.
I can also recommend Ajahn Chah's books.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajahn_Chah
I think Jack Kornfield
http://www.jackkornfield.org/index/books
and Joseph Goldstein
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Goldstein
and Sharon Salzberg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharon_Salzberg
are good readings for anyone venturing into meditation. Knowing more about the teachings on karma and love and compassion is very important.
