quoted from email sent by PMT:
Dear Friends of Poh Ming Tse Temple,
Venerable Tenzin Palmo will be coming by PMT to do a Dharma Sharing this coming week. Below a brief introduction of Venerable and the schedule for the program.
At the age of 20, Venerable Tenzin Palmo left her home in London for India to pursue her spiritual path. There she met her guru, His Eminence the 8th Khamtrul Rinpoche and became one of the first Westerners to be ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist nun. In 1976, seeking more seclusion and better conditions for practice she found a cave in the Himalayan Valley of Lahaul where she lived for 12 years, the last three in strict retreat. In 2000, she founded the Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery to give young nuns of the Drukpa Kagyu Lineage the opportunity to realize their intellectual and spiritual potential.
In February 2008 Tenzin Palmo was given the rare title of Jetsunma, which means Venerable Master, by His Holiness the 12th Gualwang Drukpa, Head of the Drukpa Kagyu lineage in recognition of her spiritual achievements as a nun and her efforts in promoting the status of female practitioners in Tibetan Buddhism.
Tenzin Palmo spends most of the year at Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery and occasionaly tours to give teachings and raise funds for the ongoing needs of the DGL nuns and Nunnery. To find out more about Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo's life, read Vicki Mackenzie's biography Cave in the Snow published by Bloomsbury, and see the 'Cave in the Snow' DVD directed by Liz Thompson.

Thank you for your information.
I first came across Tibetan Buddhism through Tenzin Palmo, that was many years ago. She is a great teacher. Her teachings have inspired me, and created positive and profound change in my life.
Attended her dharma sharing at PMT last Thursday. I'm very grateful indeed, that after so many years, still have the "yuan" to meet up with her and learn from her talks.

Yes, i think she came before around that time. I had that book too. For a layman like me, i find her teaching simple, clear and full of wisdom, appreciated her down to earth practical approach to spiritual path.
Have you heard about her life story "Cave in the Snow" ? It was an interesting read. I borrowed it from the National Library, in Chinese edition.
