It's not like he advocates the study of Darwin's theory of mankind development from apes as basis to buddhism.

Stephen R Covey, author of a popular, bestselling self help book, 'the seven habits of highly effective people' also advocate people to go read virtuous books. Nothing wrong. But what is MJK role? Dharma Master. And he didn't just advocate people to go read virtuous books. He's stating that those Confucius, Daoist books (Di Zi Gui, Tai Shang Gan Yin Pian), plus �善业��, are the entry and foundation to Buddhism.
Okay, lets leave it as that. U and many others supporting MJK, think its okay for a Dharma Master to advocate people study books such as Tai Shang Gan Yin Pian (Daoism), Di Zi Gui (Confuciaism), and that advocacy, that teaching of his, it is orthodox Buddhism.
I think not. I think thats unorthodox Buddhism, to enter Buddhism via Daoism and Confucianism book, and as foundation to Buddhism.

MJK should include rituals of Taoism , how to walk the 7 Star steps, how to use the sword. Then it will truly be unorthodox Buddhism.

No, but he did say that Confucianism and Daoism are the foundation of Buddhism. And he encourage people to go practice Confucianism and Daoism, as the foundation to Buddhism. Enuf said.
The keywords are senior disciples. What MJK preaches, its not just to senior disciples.
Then Monk Jing Kong says it very well. Confucianism and Daoism is a great foundaiton to Buddhism.
I am not his follower but i think he has found two great foundations for a layperson to start Buddhism.

I dun noe much. But I do noe Di Zi Gui and Tai Shang Gan Yin Pian are not under the category of Buddhism.
