I guess the only way to find out which meditation is best for you is to try them all.
in buddhism, meditation is all about identifying the source, realizing the source, and actualizing the source. All meditations in buddhism goes into same source. Research of science in meditation would never yield optimum result cos it's still being done in their alaya mind. For science to achieve a breakthrough, there is no other alternative way, other than scientist goes into meditation themselves to rediscover their own source, and become the founder of buddhism themselves equal as Buddha Gotama.
