Dharma Das Introduction
“Dharma Das is primarily for new students who have not yet been introduced to the Buddhist path, but I think it will not be harmful even for the oldest Buddhists; they can always do with more sitting anyway. So even if you have done many Buddhist practices, I strongly recommend that you follow these instructions.” |

- Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche
The Dharma Das program is based on teachings and a written manual by Rinpoche, which were originally intended for those interested in the Vajrayana preliminary practices. These instructions, however, cover a complete path to Enlightenment, from taking refuge in the Buddha-dharma on to the Mahayana and Vajrayana teachings. Students will be given an opportunity to learn and practice the Dharma at their own pace, based on a modular system. Dharma Das can be considered a gradual, step by step, approach to one’s spiritual path. Study guidance will be offered by assigned instructors, Rinpoche will give teachings from time to time."
Requirements:
Students will be asked to complete a minimum of 30 minutes of practice daily. Dharma Das provides an assigned reading list, structured meditation exercises and post-meditation activities for each module. Students are required to fulfill the related commitments and exercises of each module before moving on to next section.
