1) Buddha and his monks ate meat, but it is the five clean sources of meat: http://www.jenchen.org.sg/vol5no4a.htm. It is not a requirement to become a vegetarian if you want to be a Buddhist. Vegetarianism is however recommended in Mahayana Buddhism as part of cultivating compassion.
2) It is not a requirement to abstain from sex to become a Buddhist. The Buddha teaches that a Buddhist can attain the stream entry and once returner levels of enlightenment and still continue sensual enjoyments e.g. sex. Once you reach the non returner and arahant level however, sensual desires drop away.
I am so sinful...
Yes, to be a Buddhist, one does not need to give up sex and meat. However, I would have to dispute about the meat part. First of all, we are not the Buddha and we don't have the same level of attainments as he does and so, when we eat meat, we are collecting subtle levels of negative karma because we are allowing animals to be slaughtered for our meal.
There's no dispute that slaughtering of animals is an act of killing and that when we eat meat, one is creating the demand for meat and so, we are implicated in the acquisition of meat. On top of that, in this day and age, getting vegetarian food is just so easy. What's stopping us? It's our lack of discipline and strong attachment to meat. Eating meat does not make us not a Buddhist but we could be a better Buddhist if we would develop compassion and awareness about the harm we inflict on others. I apologize to sound really harsh but that's reality. We have to face reality so we can improve and be better.
