I love this quote because it embodies the Mahayana spirit and yet it is totally logical and without the usual Buddhist words.

yeah me too. i recite shantideva's dedication prayer at the end of my practice.
i too like the quote. pretty universal. a christian/muslim/jew/etc could also make similiar prayer for the benefit of others.
