Hey everyone
I frequent Man Fatt Lam at Bedok, but i have a problem - is the buddha at the main hall Ru Lai Buddha?
Thanks everyone in advance
Bry
Hi... i never been there before... but i know ru lai (如) is referring to the Tathagatha.. that is the Buddha... Ru lai fo is just buddha buddha
you should changed to Sakyamuni Buddha - the Blessed One, or World Honoured One which i think is more proper
如佛就是释迦牟尼佛 or 如佛祖

common for chinese to refer Sakyamuni Buddha as 如佛祖.
i think yes, it's Ru Lai 如佛祖 Sakyamuni Buddha. seldom we see main hall don't use Sakyamuni Buddha. the most they use Guan Yin. even for Maitreya, it's just a smaller version at the door. and here also don't use 大日如/毗那佛 Vairocana Buddha at main hall, the one i know is a Pagoda at Guang ming shan monastery.
