Lay life is full of distractions and commitments (one's work, one's family, etc).
If you want to dedicate your life to spiritual practice and helping others, maybe it is good.
(That is not to say that you cannot try to balance it in lay life)
Don't become a monk just to run away from stressful life.
You may try the 8 precepts to have a taste of monastic life... I think it's good experience
Try be financially stable first, then do what you like.
It depends on individual. Some people like durian but some people do not like durian. If i am not wrong, before one become a full-fledge monk, one has to first become a novice monk.
If you a buddhist, you can try taking the 8 precepts in retreat or at home.
It is good to a monk or nun who are genuine and commited to practice.. and help others.
If you ask this question - whether should you be a monk or nun, then you're probably not suitable for it. You know if you're going to be one. And it is not easy to be a monk or nun too. You need to pass trials overseas first, then can officially become one.
Perhaps Buddhism is a natural process of realization of own existence , cause of own existence ...and perhaps one will realize of own desire , love , anger , greed that has cause the existence and suffering or joy is part of this existence ...I hope to debate with all for my own learning process
Ask this question to your vajra master, he/she can give you a right answer.
If you don't have a vajra master, seek one. Pray to buddha and beg.
everyOne become Real Monk and Nun, then everyWhere is 净土了

Dear fellow uncles and aunties,
I am a student from NUS. As part of my final year dissertation project, i am currently conducting a survey to find out the various factors affecting the willingness to pay for a private commerical columbarium niche. Hence, i am seeking your kind help in helping me to finish this survey that will take approximately 10 minutes :)
Thanks!
