I am a 22 year young woman and I have been thinking of becoming a nun since my junior college days.Have thought it through and decided that this is the path I want to take.
A few things to consider:-
You must seek both your parents permission if they are still around.
There some lineages that do not ordain nuns. Typically, the Thai Theravada.
There are nunneries around in Singapore, you can find more about their practices and also whether the lineages are suitable for you. The school of teaching, teacher must be suitable for you.
You must be clear about your objectives for being a nun. There were rumours that some person/s abandon Buddhism after entering monasticism. Ever though it is hearsay, be clear about you expectations.

Erm did you attend any long meditation retreat before?
What do you practise? Have you attended any Basic Buddhism classe before?
I think it is very good that you want to ordained but i cannot advise you further if i don't know where are you coming.
You can look at the Fo Guang Shan or Dharma Drum website.
Am a zen mahayana advocate here, so female monastics are perfectly fine imho.
Still, whether becoming a nun is a good choice or otherwise is a matter of karmic conditioning, so for instance in another post by the TS awhile back your friend Karin is possibly in such and such a circumstance in Vietnam because of her own karmic possibilities. https://sgforums.com/users/321187/posts While buddhists may prefer wishing one another well, at 22 years of age if a woman or even a man wants to become a nun in South East Asia then please, anything but being caught by the government because she will possibly be coming back and becoming a lay person against her wishes. If you want to be a nun whether for the fun of it or otherwise, and if you can speak Chinese i.e. Mandarin, as long as it's a Chinese-predominant state or province you are in, that is a good place for your monastic training and suffering.
Being honest, if a woman has the conviction in being a nun, sincerely it does sound like a better idea imho than some girls that enrol in universities then having to work as social escorts to pay their tertiary fees. Go talk to Venerable Kwang Sheng or Chuan Guan about it at Bright Hill monastery if it fits your bill.
Try Amitabha Buddhist Center. Talk to the Singapore monks and nuns. There are several of them in Singapore, and also in India. Most of them are highly literate..(although thats not the criteria.. :-) )
also there's Venerable Sanghe Khadro, a very understanding, compassionate, soft spoken nun formerly Kathleen McDonald whos in Singapore soon to teach some workshop. Also the boisterous Thubten Chodron who has a bubbly engaging personality..but u did to check Shravasti Abbey to contact her.
