  Tony Scott and Denzel Washington together have three collaborations under their belt (Crimson Tide, Man on Fire, Deja Vu), and given that I've enjoyed every single one of their outing, there's no reason why I shouldn't with The Taking of Pelham 123, especially with John Travolta contributing as an over the top villain sporting mean tattoos, a goatee and a foul mouth. A remake of a 1974 film by the same name, this one's pretty much updated with the fusion of the Wall Street fallout and plenty of New Yorker tributes, from the mayor (James Gandolfini) to the average salaryman Waler (Washington) earning his keep.   nice leh the movie IMO.

   

  not bad

   

  the only thing lacking in this movie is chiobu and romance.

  The movie is good... just go for Travolta n Washington's acting, its worth the ticket price! :)

  Why do movie goers keep paying for tony scott movies? He reaps the profits and it perpetuates his nonsensical hollywood films. This is tragic.

  i give five stars to this movie. really keep my eyes glued to the screen, engrossed into the story.

  Hmmm... at least I know it won't be unentertaining... not sure about predictable and average though... Have you seen Inside Man?

  It is a nice movie, 2 great actors and Denzel Washington is just fantastic as that regular-guy who saves the day. He portrays the human side of his character very well, especially the part where Travolta forces him to admit he took a bribe.
