Anyone ever stay in Kampung? Currently or when matam still in shorts?

Kops21 younger days are stayed in Changi area.
Before Kindergarden, was staying around at a kampung about 15mins walk from Changkat Changi Secondary School. The place currently is within Simei.
After Kindergarden, was staying around a kampung behind Changi Airport runway. About 15mins walk from Changi Prison. Saw how Changi Airport bulit from mountain of sand thrown into the sea. It is a good place to fly kite and was worried that my kite will hit the flights that are landing and taking off frequently. -
me me...me got stay in those kampung last time...i can still remember those days were great...kids running around but the only thing is that is dirty and no air-con...

Have to admit, i enjoyed those younger days. Running around barefooted, climbing and plunking Bai kia and Rambutan from their trees.
Got go swimming in the dirty long kang or not? Love to swim in those streams. though dirty and smelly, but still do it anyway...

hahhaa..yah..i remembered that got once me and my cousins went to steal rambutans and bananas but ended up being caught by the villagers...then being punished by my grandmother,oh god we squated outside the house the whole day man...Originally posted by kops21:

Me and cousin also go and steal flowers/plants before but we are more skillful than you...
Sometimes when bypass my kampung or the place when the house used to situated, do bring back memories. -

Either u have a forgetful childhood or you're too young then....
Difficult to forget when you have spent a small part of your life at a certain location... It is also quite enjoyable going to MY for some kampung kind of lifestyle at those low-class resorts by the costal area.. -
I stay in Kampung when I 0 to 4 year old at kim keat rd. in a rent farm house. with pigs and chickens as friends hehehe

i only have very vague memories....
my paternal grandparents stay in town....one wooden house....the entire family lived together one...and my maternal grandparents stayed in a kampung in place call Ang Sha Li.... -

I still remember watch movie in singapore for 30cents per adult....open air type in Changi during the old days...actually during that period, the movie ticket at cinemas around bedok area was $1.50 (aircon type).... -
