very good for someone doing 4-5km regularly before NS. It will give you a solid base when you enter NS.
hmmm...another owl jogging in the night. jogging at night dont pose health issue. there was a time, when i used to jog in the night regularly during my secondary school. jog until the lamps are off...around 1am...cant sleep wake up around 5am going jogging also.....
now, too much thing to do, late night and early morning are reserved for my beauty sleep.
putting on weight occassionally is okay. doing it long term will have impact on ur knee and joints, which is not good.Originally posted by Gwy85:haha.. my friend lied to mi.. he told mi bad for health.. but i onli hav free time after 11pm.. as i am working.. For my case is jog non-stop for 4 km.. i will go read up e past thread tonight.. becos putting on weight is nt fun..Originally posted by kops21:u watching too much kung fu show already...
putting on weight is like bo bian...since going to take part in certain events, eg adventure races(carry 10-20kg) or no water in the area of runs(carry water bag)...not purposely train with weights for no objective.
How do you run? Straight run for 4km? jog slowly? chiong and pray for the finishing line come fast enough?
There are quite a few discussions inside this thread on the type of training. If you practise those, you wont even think about weights anymore.

the purpose of putting on weight is to improve ur stamina and strength. There are other methods which can improve on your running without putting on weight.Originally posted by Gwy85:For my case is jog non-stop for 4 km.. i will go read up e past thread tonight.. becos putting on weight is nt fun..

if you are serious about jogging, invest in a heart rate monitor device. cheapest is around $100++.Originally posted by OrneryBoy:i wonder whether am i at this stage already...
The Aerobic Zone - 70% to 80%
after a 30-40min jog, my heartbeat recovery (after panting ) is shorter liao!
does it come like a watch?Originally posted by kops21:if you are serious about jogging, invest in a heart rate monitor device. cheapest is around $100++.
this will come in very handy.
it comes with a watch, plus a strap on(at the chest) by default. Some can download the information to the desktop, and with GPS capability.Originally posted by OrneryBoy:does it come like a watch?
