Running at high attitude, plus high mountian training, plus hard running of 10-20km from young age everyday does pay off.
have you seem a long distance runner which is not skinny? long, i mean at least 21km or more.Originally posted by SGpork:yeah thats why i always envy them.

i read from somewhere, those african stay at countryside, in order to go to school, they have to travel about 10-20km each way by WALKING. Instead of walking, they run/jog to and fro school each day. Thus they have develop a good base of stamina from young age. Not because of training, but due to no choice.Originally posted by SGpork:they train everyday ?
10-20 at young age.. hmm
what u mean...running at high attidude
so..since u like jogging ..n train urself..Originally posted by kops21:i read from somewhere, those african stay at countryside, in order to go to school, they have to travel about 10-20km each way by WALKING. they start running/walking once they start to walk.
Every countries have different attitude. Pressure, Air,sea level, humidity etc. African is a very HOT place and is very high attitude and the air is thin. Make it very difficult to run/jog. This kind of environment is ideal for training. While actual races are conducted in easier or cooler climate like UK and US.
