A whole week in Genting?
Need more information on the itinerary to gather more folks. -
I kinda really want to keep it 'free and easy' and not have to stick to some rigid programme schedule where some will definitely be pleased whilst others won't be happy about.
We could head there together on Sunday / Monday evening of the week after Chinese New Year and head back 4-5 days later. Upon arrival there, we could have dinner together, then maybe head to a pub. Morning the next day, sleep in then spend the rest of the day at the outdoor / indoor amusement parks. Day 3, head to that mushroom farm for lunch, then maybe explore the areas outside Genting. Day 4 and 5, do whatever you want or head home.
Any suggestions? -

-KTV (big rooms & quite new songs)
-Movie (cheep cheep!)
-go outdoors to the park & take pikcherrr *click*
-La kopi @ starbucks/coffeebean (not any cheaper there but more "feeling" there
)
-can go window shopping @ 1st world plaza also.

OK, guys! Here are some details for the Genting vacation!
Date : 14 - 18 February 2005
Duration : 5 days (Let's hope we won't kill each other during this time! haha!
)
Transport : Return trip via Super VIP 25-seater coach (the best!) at S$50 per person
Hotels to choose from :
I called up the Singapore Genting International Office and here are some rates :
Resort Hotel - Twin Room (2 Queen beds) at S$80 per day x 5 = S$400 (!!!)
Theme Park Hotel - Twin Room (1 Queen bed + 1 single bed) at S$50 per day x 5 = S$250
First World Hotel - Twin Room (2 single beds and with Superior View (trust me, you won't want the non-view rooms!)) at S$41 per day x 5 = S$205
If we stay at First World Hotel, it'll cost us S$205 / 2 (since we'll be sharing rooms) + S$50 = S$152.50 per person;
Theme Park Hotel = S$175.00 per person;
Resort Hotel = S$250 per person
So... who can go? Those who can, please vote on which hotel and if you can find better rates, let us know!

Here's a proposed itinerary for our 5-day trip! I want to stress that it's a proposal only! (Wah... me proposing to sooooo many people!
hehe! )
Day 1 (Mon, 14 Feb)
- Coach trip to Genting Highlands
- Arrive in late afternoon / early evening
- Short nap
- Group dinner, then pub crawl till the wee hours of the morning!
Day 2 (Tue, 15 Feb)
- Sleep in late to recuperate from previous night's chiong'ing
- Group Lunch
- Explore mall / window shop / explore casino / see panoramic view from Observatory / take Cable Car Ride
- Attend H2O performance in the evening. (Imagine 10-metre high images on 12-metre high water fountains. It's the first of its kind in Malaysia. A must-see lights & music extravaganza featuring an international cast, combining magic and hi-tech, special effects with water!)

- Early morning walk around Genting to enjoy the fresh morning dewy air! Take picturesque scenery shots!
- To the Mushroom Farm for Lunch!
- Free & Easy
- Group Dinner?
- Pack up
Day 5 (Fri, 18 Feb)
- Group Breakfast
- Board coach for journey home

I'm waiting to see if I made it to a bank I'm currently still undergoing interviews with... If so, I think the start date is next year July...
So now just killing time by taking on odd jobs...
Anyone wants to go backpacking in April-May before the June holidays kick in? Super offpeak period, less expensive... -

The super coach is a 25-seater, I think... so would need 25 peeps to book the entire coach. I don't think we can get that many folks. Besides, logistics might get too tough with that many.Originally posted by EricDraven:Will we have the whole coach to ourselves?
