Have been asked when is my turn ever since my brother got married... esp this month, when 2/3 of fellow colleauge got married and younger sis got ROM... every wedding dinner, pple start to ask, eh when is ur turn? I am waiting for urs leh...
I voice out my idea that I am not actively looking for one, coz i believe that by knowing everyone ard me as frds, the one that can really attract me will appear. However, pple refute back, not looking? waiting to drop from sky? Makes me wonder if my idea is not workable... but i will still stick with it.
I agreed with what Rhonda has said abt why pple in late 20s or 30s are still single. Majority are due to failures in past relationships which they spend time investing. However, there are those that were shy or passive or too occupied with other things in life and nv got into any b4. -

My friend was an investment adviser. She's got this client, male, single at 50, tons of money. Strangely, she gets all these request from her clients if she can matchmake. Anyways, there was another client. Female, single at 36. So, my friend hook them up.
This guy ah. Not very good with "cho lang" (be people). On Valentine's Day, the lady went to his house. She was disappointed, no flowers, no chocholates. So, she asked "how come no chocolates?". He replied "want chocolates ah?". He went to the fridge and then hand her a box of opened, spent, left-over chocolates!!! Sure she picked a fight.
Okay fine. Then she got over it. 2nd episode coming. Her car was parked next to his on his driveway. He went out to wash his car but only HIS car. He didn't wash hers. Not to be taken for granted but if gentlmenly, can offer to wash hers also, right?
Anways, that put an end to their one month "friendship". -

Clue him in on what would have made her day. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to oblige because well, if he liked her, he would have done anything to make her happy.
Ah well, being 'gentlemanly' is not an inborn trait... sometimes, the lady has to take the initiative to point the special guy in her life the 'gentlemanly' way to melt her heart and seal his position in her life. -

If that keeps happening, maybe, it's time to sit up and take note. Could it be that you're going for the wrong girls? If you want to attract a certain type of girl, you'd have to see if you're the type of guy that she'd be looking for too.
Sometimes, we think that a certain type of person would suit us but we might be mistaken and thus end up barking up the wrong tree for ages, all the while, passing by the trees that could be easily climbed.
Maybe, those girls you were disinterested in would have made a good match for you but because there were no spectacular feelings and all that, it didn't feel like love and attraction? The fact that they were attracted to you could mean that you had qualities that would make compatible matches with them.
I guess sometimes, the boring brown packages hide the best presents! In contrast, the gaudily-decorated, attractively-wrapped packages do not necessarily hold the best gifts! -

If I have my own place and she's coming over, I would probably whip up a meal (I don't really know how to cook but I will try), get a little gift (something she has always wanted) and have a romantic candlelight dinner!
Rest of the night would be spent bumming around, drinking, watching the telly, basking in each other's company... Ahhh, such bliss!
I wouldn't have bought chocolates 'cos they are really too heaty and fattening!

I'll be returning to work tomorrow on Evening duty. And yes, I find that from 3:30am right up till about 6:30am, it's sometimes so darn hard to stay awake. Most of the time, I'm ok but well, sometimes, it happens.
And which industry were you in that required rotating shifts? Same as mine? -
