Noticed alot of people like Korean Movies/Serials/Dramas/Shows.
Anyone can tell me what is nice about them? Plot is sappy and boring 90% of the time and they beat around the bush too much. My brain just switches off and my eye lids start to shut down as well
The Korean stars don't appeal to me either.
I guess it's up to one's individual preference don't you think?
Or is it coz of all the hype about Korea and all things Korean. -
My Sassy Girl is good...and I like Peppermint Candy too...
Yea, most of the time those that I am introduced to are really sad stories lor...

me not a strong fan of korean movies...act here act there, still the same actor or actress.
I prefer the japanese movies.....at least the chio bu very sexy...and can find their pic easily on the web. -
I dun usually watch the drama serials...tooo long winded and drama...
but their movies are good...just watched a rental vcd from video ezy....called..something Secrets...romantic comedy about this guy who gets three sisters to fall in love with him!!! what a hoot!!!! I was laughing for 2 hours straight!!!
really enjoyed it surprisingly. -
I agree with Kops the Japanese actresses look better. Even the new Taiwanese faces u see look better these days

I can say becoz I enjoyed their way of filming movies (cinemography) and stories... be it sopy, comedies, action or horror

there's something wrong with the lead actress's eyes... distracted me from the movie, trying to figure out what was wrong with them.. they look unnatural... -
by the way Koreans also have their new year celebration, 8 - 10th..

I have kinda given up on Korean comedies coz the so called hilarious ones never ever cracked me up before.
Then again, it might be due to certain biases I have -
Hmm... I have no idea why I like a few of their series... could be the scenery mostly. It's so picturesque!
Oh, and their romance series can be soooo sappy sentimental. hahaha! The actors and actresses can be soooo good-looking and charming too!
But yeah, they're slow-moving. That's why I never watch them on TV... always get the VCD's. That way, can watch a few at a go.
I've only watched two series - Piano and Love Letter. Piano was ridiculous in its plot and a test of patience sometimes... but I plodded on... dunno why. What's the opposite to commitmentphobic? I'm probably that. hahaha!!!
Love Letter was po po mah mah... but it was romantic. The sceneries were absolutely breathtaking!!! I loved the winter scenes cause they show the leads snuggling and all and siiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggghhhhhh... I dream of a man to hold me that way too and envelope me in his arms and keep me warm and siiiiiiiggggggghhh... basically, it helps to fuel my daydreams and gives me sweet dreams at night! hehe!
As for the movies, a few of them can be entertaining but I've seen comedies where it's ridiculously silly and basically, you have to suspend all intelligence and leave your brains at home when you watch 'em. Bleah!
There are a handful of comedies that are pretty ok though. However, I found Sassy Girl didn't deserve the hoo-ha it received. I basically prefer their horror movies. -
Oooh! Oooh! Forgot to mention that the one Korean Movie I really really loved was...
