Indoor stadium - Weird choice of venue for Fygi's concert.
I think a vocal jazz performance would do better in an enclosed, intimate setting like the Esplanade theatre. I've always found SIS too spacious and its acoustics abit iffy.
And oh the prices!

All said, I might not be able to attend at all because I'm rostered to work the NIght duty on that day.
I was looking forward to attending it with a good pal of mine. -
Did anyone attend the Diana Krall concert just a few days back?
I did. It was held at the Level 6 Convention Hall at Suntec City but once again, I would have preferred it if they had held the event at the Esplanade.
They didn't even carpet the common walkways so when folks got up to head for the restroom and what-not, the ladies with high heels sent resonating 'clack-clack's that echoed throughout. We thought it was some weird drums at first and then we realised what it was and it got pretty frustrating. I think Diana Krall herself was distracted by it at one point.
Sigh... why don't the organisers realise that for good acoustics, no other venue can equal the Esplanade?
