What is tachycardia?
The sudden, rapid racing of the heart is a condition called paroxysmal (PER-ok-siz-mahl) tachycardia (tack-eh-KAR-dee-ah).
What are the symptoms of tachycardia?
Depending on how fast the heart is beating, symptoms may include:
breathlessness
upset stomach
chest pain
weakness
fainting spells.
The attack may be over in minutes or may last for several days, with a heart rate that may range between 140 and 250 beats per minute. In most cases, tachycardia is not life threatening, but it can cause you to feel anxious or frightened.
What causes tachycardia?
Tachycardia may be triggered by conditions such as heart disease, an overactive thyroid gland, fever, or by drinking alcohol or caffeinated beverages.
What can I do to control tachycardia?
Self-help measures that may help slow down the heart rate include:
splashing your face with cold water
taking a slow drink of water
holding your breath for a moment
If these techniques are not effective, your physician may need to prescribe medication, apply pressure to the arteries in your neck, or use an electrical stimulus to restore your heart rate to normal. -

i've not had it for years.. used to buy a couple of them home and then eat the fish head.. the curry was used to cook stuff like okra and to eat with stuff like prata

Sounds like me missing Part II of the first CSI episode for Season 4 cause of work.
I was awake for more than 24 hours straight just now. Got off night duty, went to the gym, watched a movie, went across to HMV and lusted after a number of CD's and VCD's there, then finally hailed a cab home cause of the sudden downpour.
It's odd... shift work has never messed up my sleep cycle this bad previously.

and i also think it's the influence of the EVIL hellspawn Hell-Kitty things in your place..
but seriously.. once in a while, it'll happen..
for me, i'm messed up now coz of superhuman doses of caffeine during the morning shifts.. i may have to start cutting down again -

You really should cut down on your caffeine intake. Bad for you in the long run. Try sleeping more. It's a good ol' remedy for a lot of ills these days. -

as for sleeping, i can't seem to stay asleep for more than 4 hours lately
my sis says i need to go vege out somewhere and suggests Phuket again
going to try to put some "exercise" in by going bowling next wednesday.. if i'm uncontactable on thursday and friday, it'll mean that i'm either dead or in hospital
