Also, the emails in the Deleted folder aren't emptied at all despite me shutting down MS Outlook several times! Worse still when I try to delete them, MS Outlook hangs and I'm forced to shut it down.

Nebbermind, I think I'll stick to Outlook Express... heard they're gonna upgrade to XP pretty soon, so no point for me to learn Outlook 2000 now -
my next computer will be a mac..
currently, using a Sony VIAO notebook (2 years old) and the desktop, i had to get a PC coz my dad is impossible to retrain...
