Anyway, it's the Fourth of July here in the US, and what better way to celebrate than punctuate the occasion with the sound of gunfire? I was at the range this morning and had my digicam handy. Here are some shots I took of one of my AR-15 rifles:

There's going to be a pretty huge fireworks display downtown this evening; I'll try to get some shots of the event, and if the images don't look too amateurish, I'll post a sampling of them here.

Bet you will be catching the fireworks. I was at a park for the Canada's Day one and as I watched the fireworks, I got reminded of Rainee's pix. Post pix if you can.

While it's easy to walk into a gunshop and purchase a completely built AR-15-type rifle, it's a lot more satisfying to build one from scratch, as it gives you an opportunity to configure the rifle exactly the way you want it.

Well, I brought my digicam to the Fourth fireworks display last night and tried to snap a few images.
The results were... amateurish.
We were seated a little too close to the action, and I was waving the camera all over the sky trying to "chase" the explosions, resulting in a lot of camera shake and blurred images.
Presented below are some of the images that I managed to salvage from last night's disaster:
