Good catch, JLennon! How did you know the "bubbly stadium" was the HHH Metrodome??? Are you perchance working in the architectural field?
As for how I ended up here, I came Stateside immediately after finishing NS in Singapore to pursue a postgrad degree, and ended up being offered a job in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul), which I gladly accepted. I've been living here for quite a few years now, but I do go back to visit Singapore every year. Miss the Hainanese chicken rice, lah!

Nope. The Mall of America is located right here in the Twin Cities, in the suburb of Bloomington actually. It's so big that it has its own ZIP code.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Theres one in Chicago called Mall of America right?

Ah.Thanks for the info manOriginally posted by Meia Gisborn:Nope. The Mall of America is located right here in the Twin Cities, in the suburb of Bloomington actually. It's so big that it has its own ZIP code.
During the holiday shopping rush between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the crowd situation at the Mall can get out of hand. Locals here call it the Mall of Hysteria for that reason.

Nope.I was snapping the picture. The two guys saw the five of us posing the bronze kid and they decided to stay clear.Originally posted by littlestream:Wow.......you folks have sharp eyes eh? I guess it is a pre-requisite for photographers?
Good for you JLennon......I thought the dome is familiar but can't figure out where. You talk about TO. Are you in TO too?
MG : I wasn't paying much attention to the background of that bronze statue pix but you sure zero in eh? Minneapolis? That's the birth place of David Letterman and also annual venue for the Indy 500? You warmer? Are you sure? I think you get more snow than Toronto ley. How's the city? There are bus tours to your city but so far I've not taken it because of my poor knowledge of the place so don't know what to see and do there. Anyways, if you visit TO, let me know. I'll tell you the locations of the S'pore/M'sian restaurants.
LazerLordz : so? was that you in the pix? Look cool ley.But how come you are so familiar with the landmarks in US?
Where was the picture taken? I'm going to guess somewhere along the Singapore Riverfront.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Nope.I was snapping the picture. The two guys saw the five of us posing the bronze kid and they decided to stay clear.
