Haha, FYI yes the little boy was anchored to the ground. The Nikon F5 and the Canon EOS 300 belonged to my fellow photoshoot chaps, the jungle hat is mine.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Where was the picture taken? I'm going to guess somewhere along the Singapore Riverfront.
It's not very often that one sees five people manhandling a statue in public. Heck, if I saw that happening, I'd give them a wide berth too!
Wasn't the statue secured to some kind of foundation and/or pedestal?

Can't be Baltimore... I was there for close to a month a few years back and the skyline sure doesn't look like Baltimore's!Originally posted by LazerLordz:Thanks MG regarding my black and white images. Hmm,do you live in Baltimore?
Oh, my word!! This photo made my heart jump in my throat because it looks so much like ST Charles Street in Baltimore, MD where I lived in for an entire month just three years ago!Originally posted by littlestream:

Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Littlestream: That's actually a very nice image. Looks like a very pretty neighbourhood, but won't the erection of the mini plaza across the street from you increase traffic along the road in front of your house?
So how long have you lived in Toronto? What brought you there?

Was it the 2nd photo that gave it away? The first photo didn't really have any outstanding features, right?
But the 2nd photo - that of Ellis Island - now, that would have been quite a giveaway!

Nice pictures, Rhonda. When were you in New York?
The Manhattan skyline will [b]never look the same without the imposing silhouettes of the twin towers of the World Trade Center, though...

Aiyah... perhaps if I had known you earlier, I would have proceeded with my application! The agency staff kept telling me that it was 'such a pity' that I was giving up my endeavour but I wasn't so sure at that point in time that the time was right for such a move. It was a gut feeling thing.Originally posted by littlestream:Huh? Really ah? I was right ah?![]()
No, it was the first pix. I was in New York last summer when MIL visited. We were on the boat cruise and I think I took one pix like that too.
Aiyah, Rhonda, wish you had picked US.I bet we could visit each other then. And maybe even plan a trip together.

I use the canvas functionOriginally posted by JLennon:kopi, great pix there! by the way, how do you crop the pictures using white borders and black frames?
alas, my new Olympus 5500 cannot produce such good pix....
Most of them... ok all i guess are taken from my Canon G5.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:I agree. Kopiosatu, those images are definitely postcard-quality. Very nicely done! What kind of equipment did you use to record those images? Is that an RSAF Chinook on the helipad of the LST?
