I keep the camera (a Canon PowerShot A80) in my briefcase all the time; it's small and light enough to be relatively unobtrusive, and you never know when a good photo opportunity might present itself.Originally posted by littlestream:MG : wow! you have a nice waterfront and a good take there. You could actually make postcards out of it. You have your camera with you (always)? Are you in journalism?
By the way, MN borders North Ontario, right? Have you driven across?

I still have that idea somewhere inside, actually I was thinking of accumulating say 100 images, printing them and mounting them in a small hardcover book.Like a mini portfolio.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:LazerLordz,
As usual, very nice pictures!
Have you seriously thought about compiling all of your images into an on-line image album and calling it, oh, "Scenes of Singapore Life" or something like that?

For me, there's a certain "warmth" to B&W images that evokes feelings of nostalgia and sentimentality.Originally posted by ceecookie:why r they all taken in black and white? it spoil the image...btw hw u put black and white?
I agree with you Meia............I don't know if it's age......but for me......anything nostalgia works for me ..........and yes, I am a sentimental fool. As I look back to my personal history book, it always brings a smile to my face. Life was difficult but it enriched my personal being and the challenges experienced are now humour to me.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:For me, there's a certain "warmth" to B&W images that evokes feelings of nostalgia and sentimentality.
B&W images also tend to emphasize the contrast between the lighter and darker areas better than in standard color pictures.
Most digicams can be set to capture images in B&W format; you can also use any number of image editing programs to convert a color image to B&W.

You can take your picture as per normal, then desaturate it in your image editor. If you are using Adobe Photoshop CS, just select Image>Adjustments>Desaturate.Originally posted by ceecookie:if im using a Oylimpic (dunno hw to spell) how u put black and white....coz i only see the Auto Button, P button and the running man icon the mountain icon etc etc
