I like the presence of not one, but THREE CD-players there! Much better concept than those multi-CD trays because I heard that those tend to damage easily. I guess to solve the problem and yet still offer the freedom of listening choice, have THREE CD-players! Wahoo!!
And YES... NO CASSETTE DECK! Good! Good!!
The Nakamichi 11 has a really space-saving design too... everything in one tall pillar-like design... and sigh... that ol' amp again.
Is there a reason why the amp has to be in a separate component? Couldn't it have been incorporated into that 'pillar'? -

OK, this JVC set is somewhat like the UX-QD9 I was oogling over. This is the UX-A60V, haven't seen it in the shops yet.

That baby, according to the JVC site, is the 'world's first Wood Cone Speaker after 20 years pursuit of research in this line'.

Oooh... Then, how about electronic synthesisers? They don't exactly produce 'warm, natural sound(s)'! hehe! -

Well, it figures. I haven't had the need to look for a hi-fi the past few years ... until my ol' one decided to retire.
I actually liked the UX-QD9... but it must be a really old model cause I couldn't even find it in the JVC website. -
