I saw its new site on this map... it's in-between the City Hall and Bugis MRT Stations.

Yea... professional periodical journals are available from any multimedia stations at any of the public libraries in Singapore. A good one to use is Proquest!
It's about $2/hr to access these online databases.

does tis lib has wireless and power socket for people to use their laptops there? hmm such sucky lib i knew of stop people from using their power sockets when they fix so many around the lib...why they stop ppl from using when there's wireless to promote high tech and so many power sockets lying ard? for show?

The new National Library is due to open at 22 July!! saw the big banner outside the building, it also says lee kong chien reference library. Han's is gonna open there as well.
It is located right between bugis junction and bras basah complex. I pass by it three times week while going to school. -

Most likely, the space will be rented out to companies. That will generate rental income for NLB (and the govt). They already have Han's opening there and also the other side of the building is much bigger than the library building. I visited the National Library Board's website but was surprised that they don't have a huge announcement on the Official Opening in the index page.

I saw a poster of the opening...looks like there will be a few push-cart stalls selling knick knacks, and RPoly will be there (to recruite students, I supposed). It opens from 11am to 9pm ...maybe I'll go there for lunch.

There's many floors and it goes up pretty high but the central lending area is at the first floor and basement -

They give me Free Cd rom which is a game of the 3d library draw to scale they are giving it out free in library.... There are also a lot of store selling tings there... The stores are alll from republic poly
