Finally it has been revealed. -
Fred Fisher Fielding, deputy to former White House counsel John Dean during the Nixon administration, emerged practically unscathed from the Watergate scandal. H.R. Haldeman, President Richard Nixon's White House chief of staff, speculated in his book The Ends of Power that Fielding was Deep Throat. Fielding denied he was Throat.

When the news of this revelation broke out, I was like woah.....
Deep Throat is like one of the biggest legends in recent history. It was all thanks to him that a corrupt and terrible American president was torn down from power.
I would have preferred if Woodward and Bernstein's plan to reveal his identity only upon his death had come to fruition... then it'll make the revelation even more sensational. -

I was seriously joking. Well, I've not been home since 2000 and don't foresee one immediately. Maybe 2006. If I am still "around" (in every sense of it), perhaps we can catch up and put a name to a face, then. -
