Creepy Indian man outside my door...

There is this irritating indian neighbour of mine that creeps around outside my house.
I found him a couple of times peeping into my house when he thought there was no one around.
I feel a bit insecure and really pissed at him. *GrRRRRrrrrrrr*
Worse, he feeds a baby right outside my corridor too ! And he sits the baby on the railing ! Which is pretty scary to look at sometimes.
So what am I to do ?
I wanted to scold him the other day and tell him to bug off. But my parents say to let things be as they do not want any feud between them and us. I cant take his intrusive behaviour anymore !

call the cops?
set traps? non-lethal ones.. traps that will scare the bejesus out of him...
take pics of him peeping and then post them in the neighbourhood watch board? -
aiya nxt time u catch him lukg into yr home. jus open the door n ask him politely if u could halp him w anythg.
he shd b embarassed enuf to stop doing it in future -
Is he from India?
Mostly they are not used to the small areas like our Singapore house so they like to do things outside. My neighbours also like that. -

How about inviting him into ur house for a cup of coffee with milk?

If he screams and calls the police, you'd have a lot of explaining to do to the police! Especially if you do that, and it's not even Halloween! -
Ferret, maybe, he doesn't even realise that his actions can be construed as 'rude'.
I know it sounds incredible but there are folks that 'blur' and unaware around us! hehe!
Y'know, it could be that he admires the interior decor of your house and that's why he can't help sneaking glances.
All said, I think I'd just open my door if I were to ever catch him peeking and ask him if there's anything he'd like help with. Then, I'll let him know that he has scared me on a few occasions looking right into my flat like that.
Or, another thing you could do is to put up curtains or blinds and when you notice him looking into your home, to suddenly appear at the window, say, 'Sorry!! Privacy time!' and draw your curtains or close your blinds!
My first reaction to something like that won't be exactly nice... but I've learnt that it's always good to sit down, take a deep breath, and don't react immediately to situations or people because well, I've learnt from my cats, to keep the claws sheathed unless really really necessary! It's classier to look kewl!

video cam wat he did outside ur house.... esp when he put baby on the railing... make police report saying u not sure if this guy is trying to murder the baby outside ur flat or wat..... and he keep peeping into ur house, u suspect possible insane case....
most importantly, look REALLY concern and worry abt the sanity and safety of ur indian neighbour.... -

Ferret, I think the placing the baby on the railing bit, he probably have not paid any thought to the danger element. I know it sounds impossible but well, there are folks who don't pay much thought to their actions.
I think you should talk to him and let him know that it can be very dangerous to do something like that. For the baby's sake, it's good to approach your neighbour. -

Go get yourself a medium sized dog that barks fiercely at anyone right outside your door.

go to his window and start peeking into his house

The dog serves as a deterrent, better than any video cams u can find.
If he tries something to the dog, you can actually report him to SPCA *and* the police... for trying to kill dog and break into your house.
Especially if you are staying alone in the house, a dog is really a good companion.. especially overseas.
and i've yet to see someone try to eat a doberman or a pit bull, with bare hands and carrying a child.
you get complains only when you have a ill-disciplined dog. for someone to be standing outside your house and your dog barking, it will notify other neighbours of this lurker as well. -
still think taking pics of him and putting them in the neighbourhood watch board is the way to go
humiliate him or something...
anyway, why is he doing a Michael Jerkson with his child, dangling the child in a scary position?
