And how was Happy National Day!!! I can still remember the athem and the pledge, man! Do you want to hear me sing and pledge?
I wasn't very adventurous and ended up repainting the bathroom the same color. Actually, the prep work (sanding the peeled portions, spackling, masking, etc.) took more time than the actual painting. But once it was done, the bathroom actually looked semi-decent again.
To be honest, I don't think I remember the Pledge. If I recall, it starts with, 'We the peasants of Singapore....' or something like that.

Yeap, the prep work takes more time eh? Same colour? Well, I guess if it suits you, why not, right? Although it is nice to play with colours. I took a pix of my video library in the basement and was going to show you the basement colour. Very rich burgundy and was going to recommend that to you. Too late huh?

Alright, folks, got to call it a day. It's almost 4pm. Think I am going home to take a nap. My eyes need it. Looking at way too many digits today.

Actually, this coming Saturday is my pay back time. My turn to host. Since they were doing mostly one dish meal followed by side dishes, I intend to do the same. I am feeling the stress already....mainly because I am quite a perfectionist in that I want my evening to be perfect so putting a lot of pressure on myself.
I intend to serve mee rebus as main, then tauhu goreng as side and bonus(centre) dish is chilli crabs. My desserts will be ice kachang and wok pheng. You know wok pheng? The Shanghainese dessert. Like red bean paste crepe.
You ley? Any interesting tale? Work on PH gets double pay or not? Take it easy, littlestream, I'm sure everything will go A-okay on the night itself! -

gonna vege out for a while before going to grab a shower...
went bowling with 5 hyper-active sugar fuelled children (nieces and children of friends) and totally destroyed my thumbnail because of an oily and slippery 12lb ball i was occasionally using to "bomb" for the heck of it...
went to Newton to eat but the shop we usually go to was closed so had to order from the various shops.. not that good... had cockles, mutabak, mutton soup, oyster egg, hokkien prawn noodles, clams, stingray and other various things for dinner... not as good as when the usual shop which consolidates the orders from orders for us..
now tired...
morning shift tomorrow...
