why you have to post this kind of thing......i very hungry.......whatever things in the fridge i put into the instant noodles......

I hardly eat instant noodles. I would say maybe once or twice in a year and sometimes none. But if I do, I like the Korean spicy seafood. I will have baby spinach, button mushrooms, crab cakes, shrimps and egg-drop. I like many liao but hubby doesn't. He likes plain, plain.
Once he was in Sg and ordered "bak chor mee mai bak chor". *faints*
Actually, it's kinda like me ordering 'Eng Chai Jew Hee' without Jew Hee. 
Or, Hokkien Mee without sotong. Or, Char Kway Teow without see hum (cockles).
When I was a wee toddler, even worse - Dao Yew Bak but mai Bak! -
Actually, from what all of you have posted, it seems like our humble instant noodles can be pretty versatile!
There can be sweet / spicy / saltish / savoury / rich and creamy! Not bad! Not bad!!
I think one day, I'll try instant noodles with the chai bor you get on top of chwee kueh! Hmm... should go well, doncha think?

It was delicious. And it was whipped up fast too! And no lah... no name for the dish. It was an arbitrary thang.
The preserved cai sim you're talking about is something I love too! I would buy it to go with porridge but will sneak back to the fridge and just eat it right out of the bottle too! (They have canned and bottled versions, I think!)
Actually, I think I like a lot of the saltish, preserved stuff that usually goes with teochew porridge. In porridge buffets, there'll usually be a spread of these items and I'll always take a little bit of salted egg (don't usually like them but reminds me of childhood and ah ma! ), one or two of those preserved, salted black beans just for the sake of it, kiam chai, chair por, ikan bilis, etc.
I love love love fried ikan bilis with sugar! Lovely, but an absolute diabetic nightmare!

I like to buy a large tube of vegetarian ham from Taiwan, cube it, and stir-fry it with eggs to make an omelette. It tastes wonderful with instant noodles that's dry and has chilli sauce and thick dark soya sauce.
Actually, egg goes well with almost anything! -

A few years back, I loved maggi mee, curry flavour! I'd eat it so often and sometimes, as a treat, beat an egg into it. Yummy!!!
And then, their quality dropped.
Now, I like Nong Shim, Koka, and Indomie's Original dried mee. -
Cold Storage sells instant mee sua that I love too! They come in packs of two individually-wrapped servings. Has anyone tried that before? They're nice!!
