You don't have to complete the bond before being sent for the Advanced Dip. If the ward sister likes you, you can find yourself being sent after your first year.
I was offered that option but I didn't want to sign on an extra three years' bond. Now, I hear that there are hospitals like KKH and NUH who are only bonding their nurses for two years if they go for the Advanced Dip.
They are very very keen to offer nurses the Advanced Dip option now because so many of us quit after our bond is over that they're desperate to 'hold on' to us for as long as possible. And a bond is the best way of doing so.

Hahah I think she does, she's not the idealistic fresh graduate type and she's pretty hardy.

Probably arterial blood was required. A lot of yucky stuff happens, esp AFTER birth! Bleah! Wouldn't want him to see that!
BTW, do you know that there are men who were so traumatised after watching the entire process, including the after birth, that they find it hard to think of having sex with their wives for months after Jr's born? -
don't they give women anesthetics during childbirth ? .....
