That's S$70, right? Lessee... that works out to about US$42. That's a tad on the expensive side. I pre-ordered mine from CDJapan, and paid a total of about US$30, inclusive of shipping from Japan.Originally posted by the Bear:orh... i love that song...

I got to watch Cowboy Bebop when Bear lent the DVD's to me. I enjoyed the series thoroughly! And the music was incredible!!Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Hello, Rhonda. Glad to see you back on the board! Hope you'll feel better real soon.
Indeed, this thread grows faster than most people can keep up with. Earlier today, I left for a one-hour lunch, and came back to five new pages of posts.
The beauty of Yoko Kanno's work is that she just composes the music and leaves the songwriting to others. Surprisingly, she often collaborates with non-Japanese songwriters and singers when she composes music for animé. Most of the songs in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, for example, are either in English or Russian.
How did you become familiar with the works of Yoko Kanno, by the way? Are you a closet animé fangirl, perchance??

Good music, and worth every penny though. Yoko Kanno is, without doubt, the most talented composer extant. I've got every single one of her animé-related soundtrack CDs (from Macross Plus all the way to her more recent works in Ghost in the Shell), including her collaborations with singer/seiyuu Maaya Sakamoto.
There is seemingly no musical genre that is beyond her reach, as she is equally fluent in neo-classical , jazz , rock and techno (among others).

any suggestions on where i can go to take photos?
take a bus...Originally posted by the Bear:take a bus to anywhere.. take pictures of anything..
let your inspiration guide you...
if you happen to be in the city, take cityscapes, or the little things people miss... like a newspaper vendor, graffiti, a small flower growing out of a crack in the concrete....
stuff like that...
if taking pics of people, ask them permission and maybe an email to send to them.. make friends with foreigners this way
i've done stuff like that before... it's fun
too bad they were film and i've lost all the pics...

Can't recall if I asked, but did you get a manual or automatic?

Feeling a tad better, thanks for asking! I think this flu's gonna last for quite a while, going by what happened to my colleagues.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Nothing escapes your eagle eyes, eh?
Are you feeling any better this evening?

A spontaneous covert activity in a vehicle lasts but a brief moment, but the stains on the upholstery from the equally spontaneous body fluid emissions tend to last longer. Unless, of course, you had the foresight to apply ScotchGuard on the upholstery prior to engaging in the aforementioned spontaneous covert activity.Originally posted by Rhonda:Darnit, MG... your car's more important than 'spontaneous covert activities', I see!Where's your priority, man!!
