Good evening owls. Yet another lovely day albeit smog advisory. How's everybody?
Oh, and this is ESPECIALLY for the Bear :
"A married couple is driving along a highway doing a steady forty miles perhour. The wife is behind the wheel. Her husband suddenly looks across at her and speaks in a clear voice.
"Darling," he says. "I know we've been married for twenty years, but I
want a divorce." The wife says nothing, keeps looking at the road ahead but slowly increases her speed to 45 mph. The husband speaks again.
"I don't want you to try and talk me out of it", he says, "because I've been having an affair with your best friend, and she's a far better lover than you are." Again the wife stays quiet, but grips the steering wheel more tightly and slowly increases the speed to 55 mph.
He pushes his luck. "I want the house," he says insistently. Up to 60
mph."I want the car, too," he continues. 65 mph. "And," he says, "I'll have the bank accounts, all the credit cards and the boat."
The car slowly starts veering towards a massive concrete bridge.
This makes him a wee bit nervous, so he asks her: "Isn't there anything you want?"
The wife at last replies - in a quiet and controlled voice. "No, I've
got everything I need." she says.
Oh, really?" he inquires, "So what have you got?"
Just before they slam into the wall at 75 mph, the wife turns to him
and smiles.
...."The airbag."....
Never underestimate how a woman thinks.
Moral of the story:
Buy Toyota VIOS as it has only one airbag (for driver only). The
husband sure die and wife gets everything!
So, for a husband don't buy a Vios today....
Husbands, pls take insurance! but.. think twice for MCIS insurance.

I'm feeling sleepy from a very full dinner. Cooked chye png (or kiam png) for the first time by recalling my mum's receipe...turned out quite eatable.

I realised I could recall grandma's recipes too and recreate them pretty well when I moved out and had my own kitchen. I used to spend my childhood tailing her in the kitchen, getting in her way, kena scolded for being a Miss Busybody, squatting in front of her as she used the batu lesong to pound her spices and make her rempah...

I still have no idea. I'm paiseh to say that I'd earlier never realised there is a "Forgot Password" function which appears on the main screen (the screen before logging in) which I can use to reset password. Nope, she isn't a Peranakan, but her m-i-l (mother-in-law) was. She doesn't like her m-i-l because she was kor dok (mistreated) by her, but she did pick up great cooking skills from her because she would grill my grandma in the kitchen to make sure she knew how to cook for her son (my grandma's husband).Originally posted by Wanda:Thanks, Rhonda.

Grandma could cook sooo well!
Now, she's too old to cook. I guess I should sit her down and ask for her recipes someday, when she's up to it.
Now, I wish I could remember how she made her awesome fu tao gou (steamed yam cake). Someday, I'll try.
And oh, her popiah was just superb!! And even as a kid, I would participate in the grand preparations for her popiah feast by helping to grind the peanuts, wash the vegetables, and what-not that a little Miss Busybody could handle! -
