I will hang lots of Chinese paper lanterns and those lovely traditional cellophane paper lanterns all around, have extra seats and stools so we can all put up our feet after a good meal, sit around and talk nonsense!
There'll be iced green tea, bamboo fans to use to add to the atmosphere, citronella candles burning to ward off the mozzies, and of course, there'll be... CHOYA!!!
I can't wait to have my own house so I can host cozy parties. -

Today, there was this Mooncake promotion at the Staff Lounge at my workplace. Goodwood Hotel, Crown Prince Hotel, and Regent Hotel was there to sell their mooncakes at a discount! There was a 25% discount from Goodwood, and I think the others gave 20% or so.
I heard lots of good comments about Goodwood Hotel's D24 Durian Mooncake. So, after going up to recce once, then going back to work to think about it, I finally decided to go and get just ONE after work... but, horrors!!! SOLD OUT!! After discount, it was only $7+, not so bad, but, no more!! Should've bought the first time I went up there to recce! Sighz...
And oh, they came up with a new Chempedak (Jackfruit) mooncake too! Don't know how that would taste like! My guess is, a lot of artificial sugary taste. Too bad, no samples for that flavour.
Mom has boxes of mooncakes given to her! I think I shall go ask her for half a green tea mooncake, and maybe one mini snowskin one.
Say, has anyone else tried their hand at making mooncakes? I did! It was tres fun!! -
