Oooooooohhhhh..... a new Mazda 3. I test-drove one earlier this summer, and loved it. Did you get the "S" version with the 2.3 liter engine? Manual or automatic?

i'm back.. the Chinese Garden was decked out in hilarious "lanterns"
lit a few sparklers which created a lot of smoke i so kinda decided not to light any myself
was pretty cool for a night out to walk about but for $9, it's kinda expensive but heck.. why not? -

Good choice! I got the GS series which is 2L. We tested the GT series too (2.3L) but somehow, I like the drive with the GS. It is a triptronics (auto + manual).
How was your weekend? Write and tell.
I had my brakes (Elantra) fixed by hubby's ex-landlord. Costs me C$160 for the front replacement.
Then, we went to a kite festival. The kites were hugh and some of the demonstrators maneuver the kites like flying a plane. The designs were cute and some were awesome. Hubby said one needs lessons to handle the two-strings ones and the hugh ones. I jokingly said "wow, if someone asked what course you taking" and you replied "fly kite". Funny, right?
Then the eating sessions started Saturday night and ended last night with a moon cake bang although the moon went into hiding. Oh, that reminds me. I've got to update my tally at the moon cake thread.

Guess you folks had a good time at the Gardens eh? You don't sound to have eaten too many mooncakes. I've got to update my tally. I assume I am in a league of my own. The stores are now selling it at 50% discount. My intention is to drive to that Taiwanese supermart to pick up the pineapple filled ones this evening. 
Well, well......my consolation is "it's once a year". But there are so many "once a year" affairs and they all add up.

With speakers strategically positioned and nice upbeat tunes, the weather co-operated, it can be a nice picnic. We didn't stay very long though. There were some Fair-like stores with games and prizes. I won a sun-shade and got some freebies key-chains. Cheap stuff lah or actually promo material.
Lion dance kicks it off and some characters in oversized animal costumes parading around. Free balloons, kite-making workshop and how can we ignore the ever important.........FOOD! -
dang.. i'm hungry now..
we stopped by a kopitiam after chinese garden... and thought the shop had Tosai... but they didn't
oh well...
looking forward to eating a tub of century egg porridge in the morning for breakfast -

When Bear talks about the Ho Kee Porridge being 'a tub', he REALLY means a TUB! I jiak buay liao!! So much porridge and pei dan, but the meat's much less compared to the Ho Kee branches at Gluttons Bay and Maxwell Market. Luckily I didn't buy the Zhi3 Bao1 Ji1 (paper-wrapped chicken) otherwise, sure wasted!
The Shang Yue outing was pretty fun! Will do a write-up in that thread!
