Actually, gas prices here are starting to rise again, this time in anticipation of Hurricane Rita's effects on the oil refineries in Texas. I recently filled up at 99.3 cents ley.
It's still green here. We are tidying up the backyard. I've killed the tomato plant and my chillies are still growing. The part I do not like about winter is hazardous driving conditions otherwise, it is the time for me to take my vacation, unwind at home, bake and watch more drama or movies nights with hubby and friends. Christmas gatherings starts real early too because by the time we take turns to each other's homes, it's New Year.
Wow! Flying up north? I heard Sault St Marie and Sudbury in Ontario have nice Fall colours. Are you flying around that area because it is north of where you are, right? Anyways, will look forward to your pic. You posted one nice one in that S'pore Overseas forum in your intro.
My current lease ends end of year so I try to delay delivery of my Mazda. The owner of this dealership is a S'porean so he kindly let me take delivery end of October. Do you like the appearance of the Mazda 3?
Driving in winter can be... exciting. But it doesn't have to give you high blood pressure as long as you exercise a bit of common sense. Like not following the vehicle in front too closely, and making sure your speed matches road conditions. A lot of drivers here seem to forget these very basic winter driving skills, as evidenced by the large number of vehicles lying in roadside ditches right after the first snowfall of the season.
'Up north' for me means flying up to Duluth and then hugging the rugged shoreline of Lake Superior's famous North Shore up to around Grand Marais. The heavily wooded landscape there lends itself to some spectacular fall colours than can really only be appreciated from the air. If we burn up too much fuel dawdling around up there, we'll usually land at the airstrip at Two Harbors (located on the North Shore) and refuel.
Wow, you're getting your Mazda from a Singaporean-owned dealership? Make sure he doesn't force you to get a COE for the car!
I really like the looks of the Mazda 3, especially the hatchback version. Which version are you getting?

well, i don't believe in psychologists.. most have convoluted things that ultimately allow people to blame other people or things around them for their own choices and allow them to not have to shoulder the responsibilities of their own actions...
my mom was to blame...
society is to blame...
the bullying in school was to blame...
but they never figured out that the dude was the one who picked up the gun or the knife and harmed the other...
no one but the one who made the choice did it...
oh well..

After all, where else in the world can a smoker who's contracted lung cancer from a lifetime of chain smoking, sue a tobacco company for allegedly marketing a harmful product, and win?
Where else in the world can a driver sue a car manufacturer for injuries sustained from his crashing the car that he was driving while intoxicated and not wearing a seatbelt, and win?
Where else in the world can a patron at a fast food restaurant who accidentally spilled a hot beverage on her lap and burned herself, sue the fast food company for negligence, and win?
