  If you dare to state that you dont need ang pao, I can assure you that many elderly couples will bring their children and grandchildren to attend your wedding and give you their very very SINCERE wishes to make you and your wife SONG SONG!!
  
  in return, they will makan untill ba ba and song song. and shake your hand and say "thank you"
  
  you might not know this. alot of time when your friends or relatives say they are not free to attend your wedding is not because they are not free, but to avoid pay that $100 "summon"
  
  And if it is free shark fin abalone etc..I can assure you there will be loads of uninvited guest.

  According to Fymk, the lady's family usually pays for the reception cost in Western societies. Judging from the scale it is when compared to our 10-course dinners, I say it is a fraction of our budget.
  
  Anyway, with my own parents' dislike for attending Chinese dinners where lots of strangers make their presence felt, they'd probably give their blessing if I tell them I want to marry a Westerner, which my crush is.
