  Are you still planning it for a weekday? If so, that might discourage people from attending.

  weekdays, games can be as cheap as $18 for 10 games...
  
  weekends, games are about $34 to $36 for 10 games

  You're going to find it a tad difficult to get people to go because how many can turn up on a weekday during office hours?
  
  I know you can book beforehand but by the time they arrive, it's going to be like 6:30pm or even later.

  Easy solution: as an excessively wealthy public employee, Bear could offer to foot the bill for the entire evening's activities (i.e., bowling and food), thereby providing an incentive for more Club 30 members to attend.
