Yeah, morning MG. Very tired. Lack of sleep and running around also. No, not from watching drama. I've not watch for about two weeks liao. So tired that even today is Friday, there is no enthusiasm. But I tell myself, I cannot fall sick. You know how fatigue reduce our immunity, right? So, must pop in more Vit C.

I noticed Minnesota has hockey team!!!
Since when? I must really be out of touch. And you know the name of your hockey team? Wilds. Yeah, just Wilds. But you folks are doing well. You are second in your group. Edmonton is heading your division. I suspect the Minnesota Wilds is formerly the Winnipeg Jets. I don't know. Must go do some research. But poor Leafs, we are bottom of the table. -

The requirement for a PPL here are a minimum of 40 hours of flight time (20 solo and 20 dual instruction), plus passing the written exam and the checkride. I estimate it cost me a little over US$5000 to get my PPL, the majority of that money going towards plane rental.
That was back in '94; plane rental rates have essentially doubled since then, and instructor fees have also gone up, so figure on at least US$9000 to get a basic PPL in this country today. -

Is it schoolwork that's keeping your son (and by extension, you!) busy these days? What grade is he currently in?
Yesterday evening, I went shooting with a couple of friends who work for Northwest. As you might know, that company recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. However, according to my two friends, rumours are flying within the company that management is seriously considering filing Chapter 7 instead. Chapter 7 is the portion of the US corporate tax code that deals with company liquidation. Of course, these are (as yet) unsubstantiated rumours which haven't made it to the press yet, but the severity of Northwest's financial problems might be beyond resolution through reorganzation, and Chapter 7 seems like a very real possibility.
Needless to say, my two friends weren't in the best of moods last night.
No big plans for this weekend, but that can change at any time. What about you? -
