  Easy: we'd learn not to micromanage the people under us.

  hey starpup
  
  being the sub-boss now, what i do..
  
  lead by example.. do the work stuff with the guys... make decisions only when it is necessary, and be decisive about it...
  
  dish out the goodness and not be afraid of dishing out the bad stuff when necessary..
  
  look out for the welfare of the staff.. be willing to help them and protect them when necessary...
  
  and they will be productive...
