Whoa... since WHEN has it become a sin to ask for advice from others who have experienced what you are going to experience soon?
When I started those threads in question, I merely wanted to tap on the experience and wisdom of folks who have gone that way before, and can advice me on the things I should and should not do.
Sounds to me like a case of extremely sour grapes on your part! What's the big deal about migrating to Melbourne? If you want to, you can go for it too. Perhaps, instead of whining here about me trying to 'boast' about it, channel your energy towards working harder and smarter and maybe, you'd be the one asking for advice next time round!

Listen... I worked hard to get where I am. And I am now super excited about my future. And my enthusiasm has led me to ponder about what I should do, what I should prepare, how should I go about it, etc etc. Practical questions. I believe in finding out more about things from others. It's like tapping on other people's experience and expertise, like I mentioned before.

Like a few forumites have pointed out, if you aren't happy, you're always free to not read the threads in here. You can exercise freedom of choice by not stepping into the so-called 'elite' Club 30.
The very fact that you are, just indicates that you're here to create problems, but hey, like Bear said, most of the time, the threads started in here, are for the sole purpose of the joys of discussion, alternative views are welcome, but subjective posts whose very aim is to start getting personal, aren't.
If you can't differentiate between the two, then yeah, we'll get tough on you. But of course, because you have to be responsible for what you post, you have to back things up, otherwise, don't expect us to take crap sitting down.
Get used to the real world, where variety is the spice of life.

If they are stuck in their own 'comfort zone' and want to criticise others because they feel overworked and underprivileged in Singapore, then they should get over it .
