  well ... i don't quite see it that way .... fur and leather all come from dead animals ....
  so do bacon and steaks and ribs and T-bones .... and yes. ... of course..... pork knuckles ...

  well, fur animals are bred for fur.. and the carcass is usually ground up to feed the rest of the same critters..
  
  fur animals are usually wild and keeping them in is usually inhumane and all that.. besides, there are cheaper and better substitutes for fur..
  
  however, it's impossible to substitute a T-bone steak with some kinda soy mash
