Throw in a large amount of salt into the coke and drink it! Soothing for the throat and the salt does a bit of good to sore throats too. -

Moms a few generations ago were like her. Well-schooled in domestic arts, good at cooking, well-versed in common herbal concoctions for various ills. They take good care of the family.
Man, I wish I'd be like her when I get married and have my own family. But sadly, women these days have to balance careers with their wifely and motherly duties so it's almost impossible to fulfill all roles well.
